I am a fully qualified Nutritionist also trained in Nutritional Therapy. My areas of specialism include weight management, energy levels, anti-ageing, digestive disorders, hormonal problems, arthritis, dietary management of blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes, food allergies/intolerances.
Qualifications/Experience
After completing my degree in Anatomy and Physiology at The University of Manchester, I obtained my Masters in Nutrition from King’s College London, one of the country’s leading Nutrition research and education departments. I then studied Nutritional Therapy for 3 years at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London.
My career began with 2 years as a Company Nutritionist in the food supplements industry. Currently I work freelance, as a consultant with private clients from my Chelsea clinic, as well as working for the NHS, running weight-loss courses, nutrition writing and research, and media work. I am a scholar of the Arthritic Association, a charity who promote a nutrition-based programme for treating arthritis.
I am a member of the Nutrition Society and the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT).
My Approach
My approach is to find a way of eating that you can maintain long-term in order to feel healthy, maintain your optimum weight and perhaps most importantly enjoy your food. My approach is practical, realistic, goal-driven and tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle.
Part of my commitment to my clients is to tailor my advice to suit their individual circumstances, budget, cooking abilities and of course likes and dislikes, in terms of food. I want clients to enjoy their food as I believe this is the only way that changes can be sustainable in the long-term. I am passionate about food and cooking and part of the process involves giving delicious healthy recipe ideas and cooking tips.
So whether your goal is to lose weight, improve overall health and well-being or address a specific health problem, please get in touch for a no-obligation discussion about whether I can help you.
